HISTORY // 6th period

Nowadays, dressed stone has been replaced by metal beams and concrete, but Saint Maximin stone is still used in the construction of  luxury buildings (26/32 avenue Victor Hugo, Paris 16th; 71b avenue Marceau, Paris 8th; Passy-Plazza, Paris 16th; or Tampa Tower, in Florida), in up-market villas for cladding concrete structures, for internal decoration in shops (Louis Vuitton or Armani, in Paris, London and Japan), and above all for the restoration of historic buildings and monuments that were built using Saint-Maximin stone.
